Kelly Urbanowski
Assistant Principal

I’m honored to be serving as Assistant Principal here at Grant Ranch! I was born and raised in New York City and moved to Colorado in 2018. I earned my B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire and my M.A. in Special Education from Touro College in Brooklyn, NY. In 2022 I received my Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Certification from the DU Ritchie Program.

This is my 11th year in education and 7th year with DPS. Prior to joining DPS, I was a special education teacher in Brooklyn, NY. Since, I’ve worked as a special education teacher at Carson Elementary, Senior Team Lead at Bromwell Elementary, and Assistant Principal at Cory Elementary. A core value Grant Ranch and I share is optimism! As a school leader it is my priority to partner with students, staff, and the community to ensure each student has a positive school experience.

I currently live in Littleton with my husband, Nathan, our two daughters, Eleonore and Madison, and our golden retriever, Copper. I enjoy spending time outside enjoying all things Colorado- camping, snowboarding, and cycling. Some of my self-regulation activities include cooking, reading, and singing in the car.
