My name is Kelly and I have been teaching ECE since the fall of 2009. I began my education at the Metropolitan State College of Denver in the fall of 2001 exploring many different programs such as speech therapy, behavioral science, and human development and I graduated from the Metropolitan State College of Denver in May of 2008. I have a degree in Human Development with a minor in Early Childhood Education. I have been privileged enough to work with children almost all my life. My mother was a teacher with Denver Public Schools and gave me many opportunities to work with her students as well as students of her co-teachers. I started my employment with Denver Public Schools in the fall of 2002 working in an all-day kindergarten classroom as a paraprofessional. The following year I moved to another school in the district to work with children with special needs and continued that for the following three years. Keeping in mind that all students are unique and learn differently, I believe that teaching is a constant learning experience. I have a great passion for working with young children and hope to be a big part in their education. In my spare time I enjoy baking, snowboarding, traveling, anything that involves being outdoors, reading, spending time with my family, friends, my amazing husband, Benni, our adventurous son, Breken, and our German Shepherd, Enzo.
