I am so grateful you are here to learn more about us! I have had the honor of spending my entire educational career in Denver Public Schools, where my experiences to this point have been instrumental in preparing me to become the principal at our amazing school. My first position in DPS was at West High School, where I was the athletic trainer from 2009-2014. (Go, Cowboys!) I worked at Edison Elementary in Northwest Denver from 2009-2024.  It was there that I found my desire to work with students with a variety of learning and social-emotional abilities, leading me to earn a dual teaching certificate in elementary and special education and a Masters of Arts in Special Education. I was the assistant principal at Edison from 2021-2024, leading the school to close achievement and opportunity gaps, ensuring strong social-emotional lessons for all students, and growing teachers and students.

I am dedicated to cultivating a school community where equity, empathy, and inclusion are not just ideals but lived experiences. By working collaboratively with students, families, and staff, I am committed to ensuring that Grant Ranch School is a place where every individual can thrive and reach their full potential. Our school community, including our students, staff, families, and neighbors, is truly like no other I have experienced. The collaboration and partnership between all parties ensures that we grow our Grizzlies as students and citizens.

I live in Thornton with my husband, Matt, who works in healthcare policy and financing, 7-year-old daughter, Audrey, and our  two dogs- Wallace, a boxer, and Beatrix, a bulldog. We love to read, do art, travel, camp, hike, and explore together! Outside is where I am most at peace.
